Who does the work
Tax preparation is done by our PTIN-registered preparers, with over 10 years of combined experience. A PTIN is an identification number the IRS requires for paid preparers. It is not a license or a certification. We are not a CPA firm, an enrolled agent practice, or a law firm.
IRS letter review
We review your IRS letter and explain what it says, what it asks for, and the deadline on it. We do not represent you before the IRS, we do not negotiate with the IRS, and we do not speak to the IRS for you. Zero Fuss Taxes is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Internal Revenue Service. Names of IRS forms and letters are used only to describe them.
Pricing
You see your free quote and approve it. Nothing is charged until you approve your quote. Quotes depend on the forms and situations in your return, and the quote lists the fees before you agree to anything.
Refund advance products
Where offered, a refund advance is a loan from a third-party lender, based on your expected federal refund. It is not your refund. It is subject to the lender's approval, eligibility rules, and terms, including fees and repayment, which the lender shows you before you accept. Refund advances are offered only during the tax season, from January 2 to mid-March. We are not the lender.
Accuracy of your information
Returns are prepared from the information you provide, and you are responsible for its accuracy and completeness. Please do not send Social Security numbers or photo IDs through forms or messages. We send a secure upload link for those.
