How we protect your data
Encrypted upload
Documents come in through a secure, encrypted link, protected in transit and at rest. Never casual text or email.
Limited access
Only the people who need your information to prepare your return can see it. Nothing is sold or shared for marketing.

We follow a Written Information Security Plan aligned to the FTC Safeguards Rule and IRS guidance for tax professionals (Pub 4557 and 5708).

How to spot a tax scam, and stay safe
Tax season brings fraud. Here is how we will, and will not, ever contact you:
- We will never ask for your password or full Social Security number by text or email.
- We will never demand payment by gift card, wire transfer, or cryptocurrency.
- We will never threaten you with immediate arrest. The IRS does not operate that way, and neither do we.
- We will always send sensitive requests through a secure link, from our official phone and email.
What we do and what to expect
- Every return is prepared and reviewed by an IRS PTIN-registered preparer before filing.
- We help you claim the credits and deductions you qualify for based on the information you provide. We cannot promise a specific refund amount.
- We are not a CPA, enrolled agent, or law firm unless specifically stated.
- A refund advance is a third-party loan, subject to approval and terms. It is not the refund itself.
Your part in keeping data safe
- Provide accurate, complete information.
- Only submit documents you are authorized to submit.
- Upload sensitive documents only through the secure link we send you.

Security & privacy FAQ
Is my personal information safe with you?
Yes. Your documents move through secure, encrypted upload, access is limited to the people who need it to prepare your return, and we never sell your information.
How should I send my Social Security number or ID?
Only through the secure upload link we send you. Please never text or email photos of Social Security cards or IDs, to anyone.
How do I know a message is really from Zero Fuss Taxes?
We contact you from 689-331-5723 and Info@ZeroFussTaxes.com. We will never ask for your password, and we will never demand payment by gift card or wire. If anything seems off, call our office before responding.
Do you keep my data after filing?
We retain records as required for tax and legal purposes, protected by the same safeguards, and we do not sell or share your information for marketing.
Our written security program
Paid tax preparers are required by federal law to protect your data. Here is how we meet and exceed that bar.
Written Information Security Plan
We maintain a WISP as required by the FTC Safeguards Rule and IRS Publication 4557, covering access control, encryption, device security, and incident response. It is reviewed annually.
IRS Publication 4557 aligned
Our safeguards follow the IRS playbook for tax professionals: limited access, secure transmission, retention rules, and breach reporting duties.
GLBA Safeguards Rule
As a financial services provider, we are covered by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and treat your data accordingly: encrypted in transit, access on a need-to-know basis, never sold.
Your rights
Ask us anytime what we hold and how it is protected. Privacy questions go to Info@ZeroFussTaxes.com and someone from our office answers.
